The Fulbehut is a conical straw hat with leather applications, which comes from the Fulbe in West Africa . The hat is typically worn by the Wodaabe , a cattle-nomadic sub-group of the Fulbe. A turban is often worn underneath.

The Fulbehut is a basket-shaped plant fiber hat. Both the top and the edge are covered with leather , with leather decorations in between. At the top is typically a leather-trimmed button. A leather chin strap with a tassel is often attached to the base of the hat .
