The Fuluälven (also Fulan ) is the northern headwaters of the Västerdalälven in the Swedish province of Dalarnas län .

It has its origins in lake Övre Fulusjön in Älvdalen municipality . From there it flows in a south-easterly direction and flows through the lakes Mellersta Fulusjön and Nedre Fulusjön . Later the Fuluälven changes its orientation and flows south. The Fuluälven delimits the Fulufjäll (1040 m above sea level) to the east. After 80 km the river meets the Görälven ( Norwegian: Ljøra ) coming from the west and joins with it to form Västerdalälven . The catchment area of the Fuluälven covers 882 km².
