Furuset Ishockey is a Norwegian ice hockey club from Oslo , founded in 1934 , which belongs to the multisport club Furuset Idrettsforening, which, in addition to ice hockey, also operates football, handball and tennis. The team plays in the 1st division and plays its home games in the Furuset Forum .

history

The ice hockey department of Furuset IF was founded in 1934. For a long time Furuset Ishockey was an integral part of the highest Norwegian league and won the Norwegian championship title seven times (1949, 1951, 1952, 1954, 1980, 1983 and 1990). Only Vålerenga Ishockey and Gamlebyen have won more championships in Norway. In the 2008/09 season , the team was relegated to the second-class 1st division , in which it has been playing since.
