The Fusilier Rocks are cliff rocks off the George V coast in the Australian Antarctic Territory . They belong to the Mackellar Islands off Cape Denison in the Commonwealth Bay and are east of the Tich Rocks .
They were discovered by participants in the Australasian Antarctic Expedition (1911–1914) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer Douglas Mawson . They are named after one of the sled dogs on the research trip. This in turn was named by the expedition member Belgrave Ninnis after the Royal Fusiliers to which he belonged.
