Futschikato is a card game by the German game designer Friedemann Friese , which was published by the game publisher 2F-Spiele in 2016 and was later published internationally. The game is designed for three to eight players who need to get rid of their cards as quickly as possible.

Gameplay

The game Futschikato is a trick game in which you have to get rid of your cards as quickly as possible. To do this, the players have to team up with fellow players at times. The game material consists of 90 number cards with the values 2 to 20, which are available in different numbers. The number of cards with the higher card values decreases: the "2" is available 16 times, the "3" twelve times etc., the "16" to "20" only once each.

Game flow

At the beginning of the game, the 90 number cards are shuffled and everyone is dealt six cards, which they take face down in their hand. If there are seven or eight players, each player only gets five cards. The remaining cards are placed in the center of the table as a face-down draw pile.

The game goes clockwise in turn. The player whose turn it is plays one of his hand cards face up. If the card is higher than one or more of the cards already on display, these are beaten. All affected players must discard the card on display and take a new card from the draw pile into their hand. All other cards on display that are equal or higher than the active player's are left on the table. If someone plays a number that is already in front of one or more other players, these are added up and together have a higher value with which other numbers are beaten. To beat this, a player must display a higher card or also form a higher total with cards already on display.

If, before a player's move, the card from the preliminary round is still in front of him because no one has played a higher card, he has "passed" it and can discard it without having to draw a card. All others who have the same card on display may now discard it without drawing it.

The game ends when someone has passed his last card and can discard without drawing a new card. This can happen either when someone has passed his last card of his own, or when someone has passed a card of the same value as the last card on display from another player and this player may also discard his card.
