Future was a short-lived Italian pop band from Rome .

Band history

The band was formed in the 1980s and consisted of Antonella Colomba (bourgeois Antonella Gaudenzillo), Massimiliano Spurio, Davide Spurio, Gian Luca Tilesi and Pietro Paolo Di Filippo. In 1985 Future first appeared at the Castrocaro Music Festival . Two years later, the group entered the race with the song Briciole di pane in the newcomer category of the Sanremo Festival in 1987 and was able to achieve third place. After this positive reception by the large audience, Future returned to Sanremo in 1988 , again in the newcomer category. This time the band succeeded with Canta con noi , on which u. a. Mino Reitano was involved as a songwriter, the victory. The debut album of the same name was then released.

Originally it was planned that with this victory Future would get a permanent place in the main category of the festival in 1989, but after a change in the festival organization the band was denied this chance. In 1990 she returned for a third time in the newcomer category with Ti dirò . Soon after, the group was forgotten and broke up.
