Future of the Past is the fourth studio album by the Polish death metal band Vader .

History of origin

It was distributed in Poland by Koch International , in the rest of Europe by System Shock, a sub-label of Impact Records , in the USA by Century Media and by Marquee / Avalon in Japan and Asia.

Guest musicians were Grzegorz Skawiński (guitar solo with Black Sabbath ) and Cezary “Cezar” Augustynowicz (vocals with Flag of Hate ). Cezary Augustynowicz is the singer of the death metal band Christ Agony , Grzegorz Skawiński played in the Polish hard rock band Kombi.

All of the songs on the album are cover versions of musical groups that influenced Vader in a special way. The song I Feel You by Depeche Mode was already released on the limited special edition of the previous album De Profundis . The song Black Sabbath had also been released before, it appeared on the EP Sothis . On the album is the second version of a Slayer song released by Vader . They already covered Hell Awaits on the live album The Darkest Age . The band Terrorizer is covered twice.

In 2000 the CD was re-released on a CD together with the previous album De Profundis .
