Gémeos is a place and a former municipality in northern Portugal .

history

The current place was probably created during the new settlements in connection with the medieval Reconquista .

It was not until 2011 that the district's water supply and sewer system were connected , until then the traditional drinking water wells and cesspools had been used in Gémeos .

In the course of the territorial reform in Portugal in 2013 , the independent municipality of Gémeos was dissolved and incorporated into the new overall municipality of Britelo, Gémeos e Ourilhe .
