Göran Bjerendal

Göran Melker Bjerendal (born October 21, 1951 in Mölndal , Västra Götaland ) is a Swedish archer .

Bjerendal competed in four Olympic Games . 1980 in Moscow he was 12 in the individual; at the 1984 Games he reached 6th place and in 1988 in Seoul he placed 15th. 1986 he was 34th. With the team, he achieved sixth place in 1996, after eighth place in Seoul.

He started for the Lindome Bågskytteklubb and is the brother of the archer Gert Bjerendal .

In 1980 he was European champion with the team and third in the individual competition; he achieved this placement in the team in 1986. In the same year he was world champion; In 1996 he was third, four years later second in the title fights. In 2008 he was ranked 18th in the world rankings for field archers.
