Gøtugjógv [ ˈgøtʊʤɛgv ] ( Danish name : Gøtegjov ) is a place in the Faroe Islands on the island of Eysturoy .

Gøtugjógv is located in the vicinity of Norðragøta and Syðrugøta on the east coast of Eysturoys . A specialty of the village is the small forest Viðarlund við Gøtugjógv on a slope above the village, which, in contrast to most other forests in the Faroe Islands, consists mainly of maple and less of spruce. As usual in the Faroe Islands, it is fenced in to protect it from sheep foraging for food. Other attractions include the modern, inaugurated in 1995, the church and the bronze relief "Tróndur gamli" at the school of the village. It refers to the Viking chief Tróndur í Gøtu , has a size of 1.8 × 4 m and was designed in 1974 by Janus Kamban , one of the most important and versatile artists of the Faroe Islands.
