Günter Ashauer

Günter Ashauer (born June 22, 1934 in Frankfurt am Main ; † February 26, 2007 in Bad Honnef ) was director of the Deutsche Sparkassenakademie from 1970 to 1997 .

education and profession

After completing his training as a banker and working as an employee at Deutsche Effecten- und Wechselbank , Günter Ashauer studied economics and business education at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt . During his subsequent work as deputy headmaster at the Hessian Administrative School Association, he was promoted to Dr. rer. pole. PhD.

Teaching

Ashauer became head of studies at the teaching institute for communal savings banks and credit systems in 1969 and, from 1970, head of the German Savings Bank Academy. Until 1973 he was also full professor and from 1974 honorary professor at the University of Cologne .

Other offices

From 1973 to 1990 Ashauer was a board member of the Society for the Promotion of Scientific Research on the Savings and Girowesen eV (today: Science Promotion of the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe). He was also a managing board member of the Sparkassenstiftung für Internationale Zusammenarbeit and a member of the advisory board of the Deutsche Bundesbank University of Applied Sciences .
