Günter Dehn

Günter Dehn (born July 4, 1933 in Aschaffenburg ) is a German local politician ( CSU ).

Career

As a youth, Dehn was a member of the Boy Scouts and among the Catholic youth. From 1954 to 1960 he was youth leader in the dean's office in Aschaffenburg. In 1958 he joined the CSU and in 1960 became district chairman of the Junge Union .

Professionally, he initially worked as a cabinet maker and cabinet maker. In 1961 he became the full-time managing director of the CSU in the Aschaffenburg constituency . In the city council election in the spring of 1960, he entered the Aschaffenburg city council for the first time. He became secretary of the CSU parliamentary group, in 1966 deputy parliamentary group leader and in 1972 parliamentary group chairman. After the 1978 election he was elected mayor and at the same time school and social affairs officer for the city. He was confirmed in the office of mayor in 1984, 1990 and 1996. Since 2002 he has been a member of the main senate, sports senate and culture and school senate. He is a member of the supervisory board of Rosensee GmbH and a member of the regional planning committee and board member of Sparkasse Aschaffenburg-Alzenau .
