Günter Hannich

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Günter Hannich (* 1968 ) is a German non-fiction author who mainly deals with economic issues and has been predicting the collapse of the euro and the crash of all stock exchange prices since the late 1990s .

Effect and perception

Günter Hannich describes himself as “the most important money expert in Germany” and publishes books, among others, in Selbst- and Kopp Verlag , whereby reviewers accuse him of pseudoscientific work. In addition, Hannich publishes an economic newsletter in which he warns of the “ € uro sinking” at regular intervals . Hannich himself claims that he is not responsible for the “sensational advertising” of the stock market letter, which costs over 1000 euros a year, because it was designed by the GeVestor Financial Publishing company. In 2007 the publisher's advertising warned of a euro collapse. On April 14, 2014, for example, the headlines on the homepage of the newsletter read:

"Through the Ukraine crisis: Germany faced with financial chaos."

"€ uro-doom threatens now."

"The € uro death is coming."

"Germany's financial system threatens to sink into chaos!"

“The € uro downfall will come by 2014 at the latest. Take precautions now! "

At the end of 2014, the headlines were updated. Then it was said:

“By 2015 at the latest, the euro will go down. Take precautions now! "

"Crisis warning: DAX is going crazy + collapse is coming - red alert: share crash 2015"

In May 2015, Hannich switched to a more cautious formulation. He no longer predicts the downfall of the euro “at the latest” in 2014, 2015, etc., but on his website it says: “In 2015, the euro decline will begin. Take precautions now! "

In June 2015, five years after the outbreak of the Greek sovereign debt crisis , Hannich warned in a breaking news of a "euro death" by Grexit , Greece's exit from the euro currency union . The downfall of the euro as a result of Grexit is "sealed," it continues. Anyone who “still trusts the banks, politicians or journalists” has “lost everything”.

Hannich's updated formulation (October 2015) reads:

“I will save your money from the collapse of the euro. Because 2016 will be extremely dangerous: deflation, refugee drama, mass unemployment, negative interest rates, stock crashes, ... "

In July 2017, Hannich's publications will continue to be advertised. The following text is now used as advertising text: “Warning: your money is in danger! How to protect it from the great crisis of 2017. "

A characterization of Hannich in the magazine Cicero reads:

“One of the most intrusive euro crisis oracles is a man by the name of Günter Hannich, who calls himself an 'expert on money security' and has recently been appearing on the Internet (sometimes also on n-tv ). The modern Armageddon prophet of the Günter Hannich type wears a tie and otherwise looks like the bank advisor from the local Sparkasse branch , but combines this officially serious appearance with the proclamation of hair-raising horror scenarios.
