Günter Kirch (born October 1, 1948 ) is a former German football player .

Career

Kirch learned to play football with Germania Vossenack . The talent switched to SG Düren 99 in the B-youth . Here he went through the selection teams in the Mittelrhein Football Association from the C to A youth . As a junior player he was appointed to the West German national youth team and at that time was the only field player in the squad who came from the Mittelrhein Association. In the first season as a senior, Kirch quickly established himself as a regular at SG Düren 99, which was then a third division in the Mittelrhein Association. In the second senior year, he switched to the league competitor 1. FC Köln (amateurs). The following stations were the Bonner SC and Schwarz-Weiß Essen , who played in the second -rate regional football league West . With the establishment of the 2nd Bundesliga South , FC 08 Homburg signed the left-footed. At the end of the season there was a rift between Kirch and head coach Uwe Klimaschefski on the Saar . The players and the club agreed to terminate the contract and a transfer fee of 20,000 DM. The FSV Frankfurt was interested in church, but had problems to apply the transfer fee. Therefore, a support group was established for the transfer and financing of the new entry in today's PSD Bank Arena , the former FSV stadium on Bornheimer Hang . The two years in Frankfurt were very successful for the player. FSV coach Milovan Beljin converted the attacking midfielder into a defender. On the left wing, Kirch was able to use his speed and technical qualities optimally. After two years on the Main, he moved to Godesberg 08 in the Mittelrhein Association for one season . After five years at TuS 08 Langerwehe , who played in the third-class Oberliga Nordrhein in the late 1970s and 1980s , Kirch ended his active career at the age of 34.
