Günter Lüttge

Günter Lüttge (born July 8, 1938 in Hanover ; † September 7, 2000 in Ihlow ) was a German teacher, politician (SPD) and mayor of the Ihlow community . He lived in Simonswolde .

Life

Günter Lüttge attended primary school in Bisperode and then the Schiller grammar school in Hameln . After graduating from high school, he completed a teaching degree at the University of Hanover . From 1962 he worked at a school in Simonswolde. There he was employed as headmaster and rector from 1966 until his election to the state parliament in 1978 .

Lüttge had been a member of the SPD since 1964, and he was also a member of the SPD state executive. He was councilor of the Simonswolde community since 1964 and councilor and mayor of the Ihlow community from 1972. He was also deputy district administrator for the Aurich district. Lüttge was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament from June 21, 1978 to September 6, 1989 . From 1989 until his death he was a member of the European Parliament for the SPD . In 1991 he became Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Pan-European Transport Conferences.
