Günter Lyhs (born  April 20, 1934 in Sulimmen , Lötzen district , East Prussia, today Warmia-Masuria Voivodeship , Poland ) is a former German gymnast . His home club was the Turner Club Gelsenkirchen in 1874 and from 1964 the Jahn Kierspe gymnastics club .

He won a bronze medal with the all-German team in the team all- around at the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo . In the individual all-around, he reached 29th place in these games.

With 19 national singles titles, including six in 1960, he is one of the most successful gymnasts in the history of the German championships. He became German champions in the all- around competition in 1960 and tied with Willi Jaschek in 1967. In addition, he won in 1960, tied with Philipp Fürst and 1964 on parallel bars , in 1960, 1962 and tied with Philipp Fürst in ring gymnastics in 1964, in 1960, 1965 and 1966 in horse jumping , from 1959 to 1962 four times in a row in floor gymnastics and in 1960, 1962, 1965, 1966 and 1967 on the horizontal bar .

Lyhs was awarded the Silver Bay Leaf on December 11, 1964.
