Günter Schernbeck

Günter Schernbeck (born November 17, 1911 in Fischbeck (Elbe) ; † unknown) was a politician ( LDP ). Before fleeing to West Germany, he was a member of the state parliament in Saxony-Anhalt .

Life

Günter Schernbeck attended high school in Haldensleben and then did an agricultural apprenticeship. Then he worked in his father's company for five years. Then he was an inspector on a manor. From 1945 he managed his own estate in Fischbeck.

In 1945 he joined the LDPD and became a member of the district council in the Jerichow II district . In the state elections in the province of Saxony in 1946 , he was elected to the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt in constituency I (Jerichow II, Salzwedel, Osterburg, Stendal and Gardelegen) . In the state parliament he was chairman of the committee for agriculture, trade and supply. He was a member of the first and second People's Council , which was renamed the Provisional People's Chamber .

He fled to the West and became a member of the FDP there. In the federal election in 1953 , he ran for the Bundestag on the Hesse state list of the FDP, but was not elected. In 1970 he resigned as district chairman of the FDP Marburg.
