Kurt Schwarze (politician)

Kurt Schwarze (born November 30, 1888 in Dessau , † September 10, 1961 in Hamburg ) was a politician ( DDP , LDP , FDP ) and member of the state parliament in Anhalt and Saxony-Anhalt .

Life

Kurt Schwarze attended high school in Dessau and then studied economics, history and philology at the universities of Tübingen , Berlin and Halle . In 1912 he was promoted to Dr. phil is doing his doctorate. From 1913 to 1945 he worked in higher education in Bernburg and Dessau. From 1919 to 1924 he was a part-time lecturer at the Polytechnic in Köthen .

In 1918 he joined the DDP and was a member of the state executive committee of the DDP in Anhalt from 1918 to 1932. From 1918 to 1926 he was a member of the state parliament for the DDP in the state parliament of the Free State of Anhalt . From 1927 to 1931 he was a city councilor in Bernburg. During the time of National Socialism he could not continue his political work.

In 1945 he joined the LDPD and became district and district chairman of his party in Dessau. At the same time he was a member of the state executive committee and main committee of the LDPD. From 1946 to 1950 he was a member of the municipal council in Dessau and from November 1946 to January 1947 mayor of Dessau. From January 1947 to 1949 he was Ministerial Director in the Ministry for Popular Education in Halle . From April 1947 he was chairman of the committee for cultural policy in the central board of the LDPD and since February 1949 member of the executive central board of the party.

In the state elections in the province of Saxony in 1946 , he was elected to the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt in constituency 5 (Dessau Köthen, Zerbst and Kalbe ) . In the state parliament he was deputy state parliament president and from 1949 chairman of the LDPD parliamentary group. On December 14, 1948, he was elected to the expanded German Economic Commission with Walter Ulbricht , Bernard Koenen , Erhard Hübener and eight other members of the Saxony-Anhalt state parliament .

Since March 1948 he was a member of the first and second People's Council , which in 1949 was renamed the Provisional People's Chamber . In February 1950 he resigned from this mandate. From 1949 to 1950 he was also a member of the provisional chamber of the GDR and since October 11, 1949 its deputy president.
