Günter Traxler

Günter Traxler (* 1939 in Vienna ) is an Austrian journalist.

Life

Traxler began his journalistic career at Arbeiter-Zeitung , where he rose to become its deputy editor-in-chief and publisher. After the downfall of the central organ of the SPÖ , Traxler switched to the daily newspaper Der Standard , where he worked as the designer of the media-critical column Lettuce and as head of the service . Traxler's satirical glosses are mainly directed against dominant media groups such as Mediaprint .

Traxler was married to the SPÖ MP Gabrielle Traxler for a long time .
