Günter Wagner (politician)

Günter Wagner (born July 27, 1982 in Graz ) is an Austrian politician of the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ). On 6 February 2018 he was appointed as Member of the state parliament of Styria sworn in , where he remained until December 17 of 2019.

Life

After completing compulsory school, Günter Wagner completed an apprenticeship as a retail salesman from 1997 to 2000 . He then worked as a retail salesman, from 2005 as a branch manager. Wagner is FPÖ district party chairman in Graz-Liebenau . At the beginning of April 2017 he was sworn in as a councilor for the city of Graz, where he worked primarily in the areas of business, tourism and transport and acted as a youth spokesman. Heinrich Sickl, son of Elisabeth Sickl , succeeded him in the local council .

On February 6, 2018 he was in the XVII. Legislative period as a member of the provincial Styria sworn in . He succeeded Andrea-Michaela Schartel , who moved to the National Council. After the state elections in 2019 , he left the state parliament.
