Günther Grabatin

Günther Grabatin (born June 30, 1950 ) is a German graduate industrial engineer, author of numerous publications and was President of the Technical University of Central Hesse from March 2006 to March 2016 in his second term .

Life

Grabatin grew up in Leider , a district of Aschaffenburg. He attended the Aschaffenburg high school and in 1965 switched to a Hessian high school. After graduating from high school, he studied industrial engineering at the TU Darmstadt from 1970 to 1976 . In 1980 he wrote his dissertation under the title Efficiency of Organizations (Berlin publisher; New York: de Gruyter, 1981, ISBN 3-11-008432-5 ). Grabatin has been working at the University of Applied Sciences in Giessen-Friedberg since 1994 (from March 2011, Mittelhessen University of Applied Sciences), was Dean of the Industrial Engineering Department from 2003 and was President of the Central Hesse Technical University from March 1, 2006 to March 31, 2016. Matthias Willems was his successor . His teaching and research activities are mainly in the field of industrial engineering. His areas of expertise are accounting and controlling , and he is the head of the TransMIT Center for Strategic Facility Management.
