Günther Lenske

Günther Lenske (born July 17, 1947 in Eutin ) is a former German medium and long-distance runner .

He started for VfR Mannheim , ABC Ludwigshafen and LAV Rala Ludwigshafen . He was particularly successful in relay competitions. At the German Championships in 1971 he was sixth with the 4 x 1500 meter relay. In 1973 he reached fifth place in the season and seventh place in 1976. His greatest success was winning the German championship in 1979 with the Ludwigshafen 4 x 800 meter relay ( Hans Giesa , Günter Lenske, Andreas Baranski , Wolfgang Frombold ) in 7: 28.1 minutes.
