Günther Niemeyer

Günther Niemeyer (born April 3, 1911 in Hameln ; † February 3, 1985 ibid) was a Lower Saxony politician ( CDU ) and a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

After attending pre-school from 1918 to 1922 and high school from 1922 to 1932 in his hometown, Niemeyer studied from 1932 to 1936 in Heidelberg, Frankfurt am Main and Berlin. From February 1936 to August 1939 he was the head of the CW company. Niemeyer book printing and publishing company.

Politically, Niemeyer belonged to the DVP until 1933 . According to his own statements, he was a member of the NSDAP from May 1, 1937 to August 25, 1939 . From December 1933 to August 1939 he was in the SA , where he worked as a press attendant. From July 1936 to August 1939 he was with the DAF , from 1938 to August 1939 with the NSV , from 1934 to August 1939 in the NS-Reichsbund für physical exercises , from 1933 to 1936 in the German student body , from August 1936 to April 1945 in the Reich Press Chamber and in 1934 at the RAD .

From December 1939 to March 1945, Niemeyer did his military service.

On November 13, 1947, he was denazified by the military government in Category IV as a “fellow traveler” . He was denazified in category V by the main denazification committee for cultural workers in Hanover on April 26, 1949.

Niemeyer was a newspaper publisher and belonged to the Lower Saxony state parliament from December 6, 1961 to May 5, 1963 as a member of the CDU parliamentary group. In the state parliament he was from April 30, 1962 to May 30, 1962 a member of the committee for the election of members of the State Court and from May 30, 1962 to May 5, 1963 in the committee for economics and transport.
