Günther Reichold (born June 10, 1965 in Hochstahl ) is a former German soccer goalkeeper and today's goalkeeper coach .

Career

Reichold began his career at ASV Aufseß, where he moved to the men's team in 1983 and was in goal in the A and B classes in Erlangen / Forchheim until 1987. In 1987 he moved to the Bayern league club TSV Vestenbergsgreuth , with whom he qualified as a regular goalkeeper for the re-established regional league in 1994 . In 1996 the football department of TSV Vestenbergsgreuth joined SpVgg Fürth. Reichold was one of seven players from the Vestenbergsgreuther team who were in the 1996/97 regional league squad of the club renamed SpVgg Greuther Fürth. Armin Veh led the team to second place and thus to promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga . It was only after the rise that he was also the goalkeeper of the “Kleebl Blätter”. He was the goalkeeper of the second division team until 2003 and was then the team's goalkeeping coach until 2013.

After professional football

The former goalkeeper currently works in the Höchstadt retail store, which is one of the social enterprises of the Laufer Mühle. As a division manager, Reichold looks after addicts who are supported in re-entering the labor market. He also trains the Laufer Mühle soccer team.
