Günther Tschif Windisch

Günther Tschif Windisch , bourgeois Günther Franz Windisch (born October 8, 1943 in Leoben ; † May 7, 2017 ) was an Austrian mechanical engineer and writer .

Life

Windisch completed elementary and secondary school in his hometown of Leoben and then attended a technical college . Among other things, he was project and assembly manager of the sheet glass plant Medias, managing director at Fiberplastik GmbH, project and assembly manager at Pultrusion Obninsk, authorized signatory of Interprofil GmbH, operations manager of Glastrusion GmbH and chairman of the advisory board of Österr. Working group for vertical plastics active.

As a process engineer for pultrusion technology, Windisch was a pioneer in this field in Austria and also gave lectures in Brussels, Freudenstadt, Düsseldorf, Cleveland and Cincinnati. The nickname "Tschif" originated on one of these trips in the USA from the initials of his two first names: GF

Günther Tschif Windisch worked as a freelance journalist, writer and dialect author. He was involved in cultural associations, for example he was chairman of the cultural initiative " tmbh marketing ", member of the board of the Ö.DA (Austrian dialect authors and archives), member of the "cultural initiative Klopfzeichen", the cultural association "Zeitwerkstatt", "Loser Kulturverein", " 1. Wiener Lesetheater ”, member of the editorial board of the dialect magazine Morgenschtean and member of the editorial board of the art and culture radio MW 1476.

With particular passion he devoted himself to the poetry slam , especially as a slam master, and in this way established the only regularly held dialect poetry slam in the German-speaking area in Vienna.
