GADSL

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Global Automotive Declarable Substance List ( GADSL ) is a list of the basic substances that may be used in auto parts.

It is the result of years of worldwide efforts by representatives of the automotive industry to simplify communication and the exchange of information regarding the use of certain chemical substances in car parts.

The GADSL contains substance bans as well as declaration obligations and is an aid for the implementation of further measures e.g. B. for the later recycling of end-of-life vehicles in the EU including Directive 2000/53 / EC on end-of-life vehicles .

It is maintained by the Global Automotive Stakeholder Group (GASG) and is revised at least once a year (generally in February). The necessary work is coordinated through three regional groups (America, Europe / Africa / Middle East and Asia-Pacific ). Automobile manufacturers, suppliers and raw material suppliers are represented in all three groups.

The declaration in IMDS is based on the GADSL.
