Lists on the subject |
The GOL-Sniper ( sniper rifle ) is a series of sniper rifles made by the German gunsmith Gottfried Prechtl. The term GOL mean G ottfrieds O riginelle L olutions. The company that produces these weapons was founded in 1986 by Gottfried Prechtl under the name Jagd- und Sportwaffen Gottfried Prechtl . The company motto is: "There is nothing that cannot be made cheaper ... but there is also nothing that cannot be made even better. It is not a question of" reinventing the wheel "... the wheel already exists".
Constructions
Most of the systems in the GOL series are based on the M98 repeater system from the gun manufacturer Mauser . The aim was to apply this system to more powerful ammunition, such as B. to adapt and modify the caliber .300 Winchester Magnum and .338 Lapua Magnum . A well-known model from this series is the GOL-Sniper GS04 ML in .308 Winchester caliber with a skeleton stock. This weapon is used by various SEKs and the Lithuanian armed forces and, according to the manufacturer, is only available for authorities. GOL sniper rifles are factory-adjusted to various areas of application and can be modified by the respective institutions for specific missions if necessary. The following are available here, among other things: silencers, night sights, special magazines and bipods. Other adjustments are also possible. Since the weapons are set and adapted to specific tasks due to the various specialization options, uniform technical data is difficult to define.
