Gaadangiin Altanchujag

Gaadangiin Altanchujag (born March 15, 1948 ; Mongolian Гаадангийн Алтанхуяг ) is a contemporary Mongolian composer and horse head violin player .

Altanchujag was born in Ulaanbaatar and grew up in Erdenedalai-Sum in Dund-Gobi-Aimag . He studied at the Bulgarian State Conservatory and did a teacher training at the University of Music and Dance ( Хөгжим Бүжгийн Дунд Сургууль, УБДС ) in Ulaanbaatar. He then taught at the University of Music and Dance and worked on radio and television as a music editor on the editorial board. He composed for the singing and dance ensemble of the army and worked as a trainer for the horse head violin ensemble of the State Philharmonic.

Altanchujag's work consists of songs, solo and orchestral pieces, as well as film music.
