Gabi Hift

Gabi Hift (* 1958 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actress , director and author.

Life

Hift studied acting, medicine and psychology and received a PhD in medicine. She was a member of the ensemble at the Volkstheater in Vienna, at the Kleist Theater in Frankfurt (Oder) (where she also directed the school theater) and at the Schwerin State Theater . As the head of the Hift & Niederkirchner group, she realized her own theater projects. She has lived in Berlin as a freelance director and author since 2002.

Works

With the story "Der Willsch" she won the Gratwander Prize for erotic literature in 2000. Her short stories have been published in several anthologies, including "Ein finsteres Loch" in "Rendezvous erotique" (published 2003, ISBN 3-20379-200-1 ) and "Last words" in "Last words: the best submissions to the Agatha Christie" Crime Prize " (published 2003, ISBN 3-502-51957-9 ).
