Gabi Lorenz (born March 23, 1961 , now Gabi Ockel) is a former German volleyball player .

Gabi Lorenz was a multiple German national player between 1977 and 1986 . She played in the Bundesliga for TG Rüsselsheim until 1988 and won the German Cup in 1981 . In 1982 Gabi Lorenz was voted volleyball player of the year .
