Gabriele Mörk

Gabriele Mörk (born January 10, 1962 in Vienna ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). She has been a member of the state parliament and member of the Vienna City Council since January 2007 .

education and profession

Gabriele Mörk attended elementary school between 1968 and 1972 and then a federal high school until 1976. She then moved to a higher federal college for economic professions, where she graduated in 1981 . After graduating from high school, Mörk was hired as an administrative officer at the municipality of Vienna. She initially worked at the social welfare office of the City of Vienna until 1986 and attended the Academy for Social Work for Working People from 1984 to 1987. In 1986 she moved to the Housing Office (MA 50 or Wiener Wohnen ), where she was Head of Social Housing at Wiener Wohnen from 1993 to 2003. Since 2003 she has been head of the social housing allocation and housing commission of MA 50. In 1999 she was awarded the title of district councilor, and since August 2005 Mörk has been a senior official.

Gabriele Mörk has been a member of the district women's committee in Meidling since 1990 and has been the deputy district women chairwoman since 1992. From 1992 to 2005 she was district councilor in Meidling and from 2001 to 2005 deputy district party chairwoman. She was elected to the Federal Council on November 18, 2005 , of which she was a member until January 24, 2007. Since January 25, 2007 she has represented the SPÖ in the Vienna State Parliament and City Council . In its 18th legislative period, she is a member of the “Health and Social Affairs” committee. Mörk has also been a senior representative in Meidling since 2003.
