Gabriele Rost

Gabriele Rust (* 23. March 1948 in Berlin as Gabriele Kleinert ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

Rost graduated from high school in 1967. From 1972 to 1978 she studied history and comparative literature at the Free University of Berlin . She was a member of the partnership of parliaments . Rost joined the CDU in 1972 and was local chairman in Alt-Lichterfelde from 1978 to 1979 . From 1985 to 1987 she was deputy state chairwoman of the women's union .

Rost was elected to the Steglitz district council in 1975 , from 1983 to 1989 also as its district councilor. In the January 1989 election , Rost was elected to the Berlin House of Representatives, but moved up to the Bundestag in the same year after the death of Lieselotte Berger , a member of the Bundestag, in September.

In the Bundestag, Rost was a member of the Petitions Committee and the Committee on the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety . On February 16, 1990, she resigned from the Bundestag after just five months. Since she had not given up her mandate in the Berlin House of Representatives when she entered the Bundestag, she had also been a member there. In the election to the Berlin House of Representatives the following December, she was re-elected to the House of Representatives. She was a member of this until the end of the twelfth term.
