Gabrielle Tana
Gabrielle Tana is a British film producer . At the Academy Awards 2014 she was nominated in the category Best Picture for the British drama Philomena .
Life
In her youth she worked at the Gate Cinema in Notting Hill . She studied philosophy at the university, but worked regularly on film productions during the semester break. During this time she worked as an assistant for producers and directors. She then worked for Disney in France, where she mainly produced music videos.
She then went into business for herself and moved from France to New York. There she produced films such as Paradise, Brooklyn and Animals with the Tollkeeper . In 2014 she and Steve Coogan and Tracey Seaward were nominated for the film Philomena for an Oscar in the category Best Picture and for a BAFTA .
