Gaby Konrad

Gaby Konrad (* in Graz ) is an Austrian television presenter .

Education and career

Gaby Konrad grew up in Styria. She studied German and philosophy in Vienna, Barcelona and Paris. After completing her studies, she spent a few years abroad at the Goethe Institute in Madrid and worked as a German lecturer at the University of Antananarivo (Madagascar).
Konrad gained his first journalistic experience through internships at Arte Info (Strasbourg), the Kleine Zeitung (Graz) and the Kurier (Vienna). From 2006 she worked for ORF as a newscaster in the Zeit im Bild , first in the “Chronik” department, then as a reporter mainly for the Zeit im Bild 2. Later she took over the “Domestic Policy” department.

Since 2015 she has been one of the questioners at the press hour , where she was responsible for the Hypo investigation committee for domestic policy, for example . She has been the news anchor for Guten Morgen Österreich since 2016 and for Aktuell in Austria and Mittag in Austria since January 2019 .

Private

Gaby Konrad was on maternity leave with her second child from June 2016 to May 2017.
