Gada Ale (also Kebrit Ale ) is a 287 meter high basalt volcano in Ethiopia . It rises from the Koba Depression ( 115 m below sea level ), in the Afar Triangle , in the Afar region .

The stratovolcano is located around three kilometers south of the north shore of Lake Karum and forms the northern end of the Erta Ale volcano chain, a volcanic chain 13 kilometers wide at this point with the well-known Erta Ale volcano , which is still active in contrast to Gada Ale. The crater has a diameter of 350 meters and is 100 meters deep from the summit.
