Gaius Cestius Epulo († before 12 BC) was a Roman politician of the late Republic or the early Imperial period . He belonged to the plebeian gens Cestia and is best known for his tomb, the so-called Cestius pyramid .

Gaius Cestius Epulo was born in the 1st century BC. Born in BC, his father's name was Lucius. His relatives Gaius Cestius and Lucius Cestius held the praetur at the end of the republic (44/43 BC) . Cestius Epulo himself was tribune , praetor and member of the priestly college of the septemviri epulonum . His official career is only known from the inscriptions on the east and west side of his tomb in Rome, the Cestius pyramid located via Ostiensis .
