Gakuya Horii ( Japanese 堀 井 岳 也 , Horii Gakuya ; born July 3, 1975 in Yamanashi Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Horii learned to play soccer on the school team at Nirasaki High School and the university team at Aoyama Gakuin University . He signed his first contract in 1998 with Ventforet Kofu . The club played in the second highest league in the country, the Japan Football League . For the club he completed 49 games. In 2000 he moved to league competitor Montedio Yamagata . For the club he completed 66 games. In September 2001 he moved to the first division club Consadole Sapporo . At the end of the 2002 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League . For the club he completed 105 games. In 2006 he moved to the first division club Ventforet Kofu. For the club he completed 16 first division games. At the end of 2006 he ended his career as a football player.
