Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds is a real-time strategy game developed by Ensemble Studios and LucasArts .

The campaign takes place within the timeframe of Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace to Star Wars: Episode VI - The Return of the Jedi , but has not been part of the Star Wars canon since the Disney Company took over LucasArts , but to the Star Wars Expanded Universe.

Gameplay

In terms of play and graphics, Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds is similar to Age of Empires and Age of Empires II as both are based on the same engine, the Genie Engine . In the game you control one of the six races from the Star Wars universe that appear in the game .

Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds and Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds: Clone Campaigns were developed by LucasArts and Ensemble Studios. The main game and the expansion were developed by Garry M. Gaber .
