Galafi ( Arabic غالافي) is a small town in the Dikhil region in Djibouti , near the border with Ethiopia .

An all-weather road has been connecting Galafi with Djibouti City and the neighboring countries of Ethiopia and Eritrea since 1975 . Part of the trade between Ethiopia and Djibouti is carried out on this road, but it plays a subordinate role compared to the Addis Ababa – Djibouti rail link . In 1978 it briefly became more important when the railway line was interrupted due to the Ogaden War.
