Gale Ridge is a 20 km long mountain ridge in the West Antarctic Queen Elizabeth Land . In the Neptune Range of the Pensacola Mountains , it extends from Mount Dover in a north-westerly direction.
The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1956 and 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1965 after the American meteorologist Phillip L. Gale, who lived on the Ellsworth in the Antarctic winter of 1962. Station was active.
