The gallery grave Heiliger Stein is a Neolithic megalithic complex on the northwest slope of the Wetterbergkopf above the Wettertal northeast of Trais-Münzenberg in Muschenheim , a district of the town of Lich in the district of Gießen in Hesse . The complex, which was excavated in 1893 and 1913 and re-excavated between 1989 and 2003, has been restored.

Next to the entrance is a menhir ( menhir indicateur in French ) made of quartzite that was once around 4.0 m high and is still 2.75 m high today . The complex consists of a rectangular chamber into which a long corridor that has been preserved in remains opens from the north. It has its closest counterpart in eastern France and was established by the Wartberg culture . It dates between 3500 and 2800 BC. BC, at the same time as the eastern Walternienburg-Bernburger culture and the northern funnel cup culture (TBK).

The area of ​​the facility was approximately 18.0 × 12.0 m. The 0.8 m high burial chamber has three capstones that weigh up to 7 tons. The middle one consists of conglomerate , the outer one of quartzite , which comes from the Munzenberg , 2 km away.
