Galium incurvum is a species of the red family(Rubiaceae).
features
Galium incurvum is a perennial stem hemicryptophyte that reaches heights of 5 to 30 centimeters. The stem is prostrate to ascending and 1 to 1.5 millimeters thick. The leaves are 5 to 10 (25) millimeters in size, linear or narrowly oblanceolate, sickle-shaped and densely packed at the base of the stem. The inflorescence is short. Partial inflorescences are present at 3 to 5 nodes. The crown is yellow and 2 to 3 (4) millimeters in diameter. The corolla lobes are usually upright-protruding.
The flowering period extends from June to August.
The number of chromosomes is 2n = 44.
Occurrence
Galium incurvum is on Crete in the prefectures of Chania and Rethymno endemic . The species grows in the Lefka Ori and Ida on limestone in bushes, hedgehog cushion heaths , rock crevices and rubble heaps at altitudes of 1150 to 2120 meters.
