The Gaul goat (also called Somali goat) is native to southern Ethiopia and northern Kenya . It is about 65–75 cm tall, goats weigh 30–45 kg and rams 35–55 kg. The gall goat is a slender, medium-sized goat and has fine short white hair. The skin is pigmented black. It has medium-length ears, a small head dented along the line of the nose, and a long neck. The udder is large and tightly attached. The milk yield is 50–90 kg in 180 days, of which 10–35 kg are milked, the rest of the lambs drink.

The Gall Goat is a native breed in East Africa that has improved a lot in recent years.
