Xu Gang ( Chinese  徐刚 , Pinyin Xú Gāng , born January 28, 1984 in Shanghai ) is a Chinese cyclist .

Career

Xu started his career in 2005 with the Chinese Marco Polo Cycling Team . In his first year there, he finished third in the Tour of South China Sea and was also third overall. The next year he drove for the Dutch-Japanese team Skil-Shimano and later as a stagiaire for the Italian ProTour team Lampre-Fondital . In 2007 Gang Xu rode for the Continental Team Hong Kong Pro Cycling , where he became the Chinese road racing champion. In 2009 and 2012 he was again Chinese road champion. From 2014 to 2016 he drove for Lampre-Merida .
