Ganiyu Aremu Shittu (born December 22, 1979 in Lagos , Nigeria ) is a retired Nigerian soccer player .
Career
Nigeria
Shittu started his football career as a youth player for Olubodun FC in Evans Square in the Ebute Meta district of Lagos Mainland. In the 1995/1996 season he played for Eagle Cement in Port Harcourt .
Germany
In 1997 he came to Fortuna Düsseldorf , with whom he was relegated from the 2nd Bundesliga in 1999. For the second half of the season in November 2000 he was awarded for the rest of the season to the league rivals SG Wattenscheid 09 before he returned to Düsseldorf after the end of the season.
Austria
After he was relegated from the regional league with the “Flingerans” in 2002, he moved to Austria, where he worked for 1. FC Vöcklabruck and Union Vöcklamarkt .
