Ganquan Dao ( Chinese  甘泉 島  /  甘泉 岛 , Pinyin Gānquán Dǎo  - "Freshwater Spring Island"; Vietnamese: Đảo Hữu Nhật ), English Robert Island or Round Island , is a coral island in the South China Sea . It belongs to the Yongle Archipelago of the Xisha Islands . Like the entire archipelago, the island is administered by the People's Republic of China as part of the city of Sansha , Hainan Province , but claimed by Vietnam and the Republic of China on Taiwan .

The archaeological Ganquandao site (Chinese: Ganquandao yizhi甘泉 岛 遗址) from the time of the Tang and Song dynasties has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (6-174) since 2006 .
