Gaoseng zhuan

The Gaoseng zhuan ( Chinese  高僧传 , Pinyin Gāosēng zhuàn  - "Biographies of Famous Monks") by Huijiao are a collection of biographies of Buddhist monks in China from 519 . They range from the introduction of Buddhism in China to the Northern Wei Dynasty .

The first part was translated into French by Robert Shih (1968).
