The Gar Mosque and the Gar Minaret ( Persian مسجد و مناره گار Masjed o Menare ye Gar , IPA : [ mæsd͡ʒɛd o mɛnɑɾɛ jɛ gɑɾ ]) are historical buildings in the Iranian province of Isfahan . The buildings are located in the village of Gar on the southern bank of Zayandeh Rud . The minaret is from the Seljuk era, but the mosque belongs to the Ilkhan era. The only remaining part of the mosque is its mihrab , which was decorated with stucco , but the minaret is in pretty good condition and according to an inscription on it, it was built in 1121 by Abolghassem ebn-e Ahmad.
