Guarantor

Guarantors are companies that, in accordance with the requirements of the Packaging Ordinance, guarantee the dual system Germany the acceptance and recycling of the used sales packaging for the respective material fractions.

There are a number of these guarantors, they can be divided according to the substances or material fractions:

• Glass
• aluminum
• Tinplate
• plastic
• Beverage cartons
• Other composites

The disposal partners report the collected and sorted quantities of recyclable materials to the so-called acceptance and recycling guarantors. These are either the production industries themselves or companies that were founded specifically for the recovery of secondary raw materials. In order to create the volume flow certificate, the guarantors - in addition to the disposal partners - also document the monthly amounts sent to the dual system for recycling.
