Recyclable materials are substances that can be reused after their use, converted into other products or broken down into raw materials . They can be recycled, which brings them back into the economic cycle.

In many places in Germany, you can deliver recyclables to recycling centers. You have to dispose of scrap , paper , newspapers , cardboard , wood and metal waste, etc. in different containers . The various containers for plastic waste in particular cause sorting stress. Polyethylene (PE), polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and polystyrene (PS) are often used for packaging etc. These are then often to be distributed according to type.

The commercial collection of recyclable materials has been carried out since the introduction of the Packaging Ordinance in 1990 through the amalgamation of disposal companies, see Green Dot .
